Our team is a fusion of three partnership tour operators and destination management companies Monte Mare Travel, Montenegro Travel Club, and Travel2Montenegro. The idea and concept were born in 2023 and from this year we will operate on the MICE market as one. Our corporation is strongly based on quality over quantity, loyalty, and consistency while placing clients at the center of our business. Every day in every country dozens of events take place generating a big environmental impact. This is why we should endeavor to make increasingly sustainable events. MCM is strongly orientated to Eco-friendliness, Sustainable development, and awareness of the environment that we are living in.
MCM in every single activity puts efforts into reusing and recycling as many elements as possible. So we strongly support and follow every action that comes from NGOs and the Government as a call to help our planet become a better place to live.
Global warming and the carbon footprint are a reality and any action we can take to try to prevent these issues from advancing is more than welcome. Above all, in our company, we donate annually to the Municipality for seeds and plants in parks around our town.
Organizing and celebrating sustainable events is easier than it seems. These are some measures that can be applied to this purpose:
Reduce, reuse, recycle.
MCM reduces the use of plastic, replacing it with other materials that allow reworking instead of a single use. When dealing with reuse is also important to recycle, and that means putting the right materials in the right containers or bins -paper, metal cans, plastic bottles- which have to be available at key points in the event venue. This way we will facilitate this process.
MCM tries to reduce the amount of lighting and find a location with good acoustics that may allow the reduction of speakers and loud noises. We use environmentally conscious products and foods. It is always an added value to use seasonal and local products highlighting the event location or destination. Organic, slow food fresh from the local markets or shops is always a better option over processed products.
We support the protection of animals and plant ecosystems. Some of our staff are supported by the company for planting personal family-use vegetable gardens.
